Gilbert Arenas on whether he has a “conscience”

Posted by gilbertology on December 27th, 2006 in Gilbert's Thoughts

“What assassin does? Did [Michael] Jordan have a conscience? Kobe [Bryant] doesn’t have a conscience. You don’t score 81 in an NBA [game] with a conscience. There is something in your mind that says, ‘I’m going to kill this team.’ It’s something you’re born with. Every player doesn’t have it. [Kobe] is a killer.”

    I’m a Wizards fan and I’ve been reading your posts for the past few weeks and passed along the URL to my co-worker who in turn, did a little research and crunched these numbers:

    K. Bryant
    >>> (539.0+1220+996+1485+1938)/(71+79+50+66+68.0)
    18.49700598802395

    G. Arenas
    >>> (511.0+1497+1078+2038+2346)/(47+82+55+80+80.0)
    21.715116279069768

    Look at that point differential in season one — Agent Zero outscored him in 24 fewer games… They both had injuries in season 3 that held them under 55 games…

    Kobe’s only gone over 2000+ points 3 times: seasons 6,7, and last year season 10. Gilbert’s already over in seasons 4 and 5…
