Gilbert Arenas on whether he has a “conscience”

Posted by gilbertology on December 27th, 2006

“What assassin does? Did [Michael] Jordan have a conscience? Kobe [Bryant] doesn’t have a conscience. You don’t score 81 in an NBA [game] with a conscience. There is something in your mind that says, ‘I’m going to kill this team.’ It’s something you’re born with. Every player doesn’t have it. [Kobe] is a killer.”

Adidas Gil-Zero Review

Posted by gilbertology on December 26th, 2006

Here is a review about Gilbert’s low top shoes, the Gil Zeros:

Fit: 9/10 great shoe right out the box. no heel slippage at all, which was a surprise since its a low. they fit true to size.

Cushioning: 10/10 since I have the other Adidas Formotion shoes I knew what to expect…. great cushioning which was firm and responsive, very much like the zoom 95. Heel to toe transitioning was rocking chair smooth.

Stability: 9/10 with the 3 formotion pods this was another great area. I dont usuall wear low tops but I didnt have any problems moving laterally or front to back.

Weight: 10/10 they are lowtops…..

Traction: 9/10 tried and true herringbone…. real sticky, real simple!

Overall:
9.5/10 the fit coupled with the awesomly fuctional heel cup maken for a great shoe that works well with your feet as you move around the court. I had no worries about my ankles whatsoever. Shoes look great in person, no skimping on the materials here, like hmmmmm some other companies. I would put these in my top 5 all time (2k3, zoom 95,lebron 3, 2k4) If it helps I am 6′1” 225, I play the 2 or 3 lots of driving, dunking (on occation) and glove like defense….

Gilbert Arenas on the difference between he and Kobe

Posted by gilbertology on December 25th, 2006

“I’m glad what I’m doing is on national television so they can finally see what I did in the past; my 29 [points per game last season] is not a fluke. What I did in the playoffs is not a fluke. What I’ve done the last five years is not a fluke. Everybody says, ‘Oh, he’s not better than this person, he’s not better than that person.’ But if you go year by year, number-wise, what’s the difference between me and Kobe? He had Shaq. He got three rings. Other than that, my numbers are blowing his out of the water the first six years in the league.”

Gilbert Arenas on the cover of the new Dime Magazine

Posted by gilbertology on December 25th, 2006

Dime
You can check out Gilbert Arenas on the cover of the new Dime magazine. In it Arenas is quoted as saying:

“I personally feel like, pound-for-pound, as far as the best offensive player all-around, who can you say is better than me? People say that once I get past half court I have no conscience. And you know what? They’re right. I feel comfortable taking any shot past half court.”

How long have you felt that way?

“Since the first day I came into the League.”
