This is almost becoming routine. Gilbert Arenas, who was the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for December was named NBA Player of the Week for the first week of 2007. Kevin Garnett won the honors for the West.
Arenas averaged 33.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 2.7 steals including hitting the winning buzzer-beater against Milwaukee. This is the third time this season Gilbert has won player of the week honors.
