I truly feel that this commercial is great for two reasons. One, its pretty original and is inspiring, and two I love Gilbert so i couldnt possibly ask for more. But either way its about time people stop joining the media bandwagon on their picks for “great players” and gave some of these other players the notoreity( I hope thats spelled right) they deserve.
hey I’m Dwayne and I live in Barbados, my first bball season in high skool i sit bench, did what you did.PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE but life has a funny way of things, on March 21st I stopped breathing and the doc said i have weak lungs now and a solid blow to the chest could kill me, so I have to stop. Crushed and depressed I was contemplating suicide but then I saw this video about you and it showed me that I was going down the wrong road and I need to fight back.
So thanks man really appreciate it, hope you feel good knowing you saved a life and also inspired another fan
I was working feeling really down on myself, and feeling like a real failure at what in my field of work. I saw the commercial when I went for a spot of tea in the breakroom. the music and the story pulled me in. I must say it is a definite comfort and inspiration to see another brother pull himself out of a negative situation. The demons of doubt could of easily taken over. Thanks Gilert for sharing your story. God Bless.
