According to the Washington Times, Gilbert Arenas is looking for an agent and is considering Jeff Wechsler, agent to former teammate Larry Hugues.
The Washington Post had a story a day earlier that Arenas can opt out of his contract during the summer of 2008.
Meanwhile, Dan Steinberg knows what Gilbert’s “big announcement” is this weekend but isn’t giving any hints. Maybe if we bug him hard enough he’ll let us know.

I just realized something… the $25 package says “personalized” jersey while the $100 says just “autographed”.
So does that mean personalized is instead of “ARENAS” at the back, it is “WHOEVER” personalized?
That would suck! Hope it is just a signature like “To Whoever, Gilbert Arenas”.

It makes no sense for him to sign JOHN’s jersey. A lot of people have been confused and have actually ordered the personalization to “ARENAS”…so i’m pretty sure he’ll be “autographing it personally” to the name entered. Granted, they could have done a better job clarifying everything.. such as one or two shoes? and why the value is 90 if it’s only one?.. etc.
I’m a huge fan and i’m glad i had to chance to get one. i feel bad for those who are also fans and didn’t get one because people decided to order multiples and left the name blank. i don’t mean to “hate” but i truly feel for his fans.
I also wish the turnout was better for his $150 (100) package. I would’ve bought that also had they not stopped it. I really expected to the $25 package to end in minutes. In the past, a similar thing happened with dell laptops, $750 off $1500 limited to 10,000 users and that died in 26 minutes. I’m sure he has tons of fans, maybe the word just didn’t get out enough.
the 4-6 week waiting time is only on the $100 webpage (paypal2), and while i’m probably just being optimistic, i’m hoping the $25 (paypal1) will come a lot sooner.

They clarified the shoe part. It clearly says “SHOE”. They say retail $90 because as a pair, nobody sells just 1 shoe.
I don’t think it’ll really be “WHOEVER” at the back. But it seems weird to have to have Gil to go back and personalize signature on 2,000 jerseys again.
