Gilbert to continue Jersey/Shoe $25 donation

Posted by gilbertology on April 27th, 2007

For those who woke up early to get Gilbert’s personalized jersey for $25, it looks like it was all for not as he writes in his latest blog entry that he will just sell the remaining 6,000 he has for the same price and personalize all of them. Those who bought the $100 package will only be charged $25 and get them personalized as well.

So, the other 6,000, I’m planning to put them back on and I’m going to just put them for $25 and I’m going to just personalize everything. I’m going to just personalize them all because I know there were some people up early in the morning and they missed out and then for everybody who bought it at $150 or $100 I’m only going to charge them $25 and personalize it anyway. It will be up on GilsArena.com sometime in the next couple days. I just appreciate people waking up early and supporting my foundation, Zer0 2 Her0.

Gilbert also writes that the early bird package sold out in 15-20 minutes which is way off as we stayed up until the entire thing was sold out at a little over 2 hours.

The first 2,000 sold out in 15-to-20 minutes at six o’clock in the morning, 3 a.m. PT.

Sold out in 15 minutes. 2,000 jerseys. Wow.

Gilbert Arenas to be on NBA Live Cover

Posted by gilbertology on April 27th, 2007

I got a big, big, big announcement to make in a couple days. A real big one. To me, it’s really that big. It might be Saturday or Sunday, it might be the first home game here in Washington. It’s big. It’s good, oh man.

Here’s a hint: there’s going to be four million of them. That’s the only hint I can give you.

That’s what Gilbert wrote in his last blog and it was reported today by the Washington Times that the avid video gamer and Halo sponsor will appear on the cover of the next NBA Live series. He will join the likes of Dwayne Wade and Carmelo Anthony whom have been on covers in previous years. Arenas was chosen over Cleveland’s LeBron James.

Agent Zero needs an Agent and other Ramblings

Posted by gilbertology on April 25th, 2007

According to the Washington Times, Gilbert Arenas is looking for an agent and is considering Jeff Wechsler, agent to former teammate Larry Hugues.

The Washington Post had a story a day earlier that Arenas can opt out of his contract during the summer of 2008.

Meanwhile, Dan Steinberg knows what Gilbert’s “big announcement” is this weekend but isn’t giving any hints. Maybe if we bug him hard enough he’ll let us know.

Gilbert’s a Nerd, Underappreciated, and Sad

Posted by gilbertology on April 23rd, 2007

According to MCBias, Gilbert isn’t as behaviorally complex as bloggers have make him out to be. Instead, he has geek tendencies, is a late bloomer, and has a chip on his shoulder too deep to carve out. Agree?
