Wizards point guard Gilbert Arenas was named to the All-NBA Second Team for the 2006-07 season, the league announced today.
Arenas, who averaged 28.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 6.0 assists this regular season, joins second teamers LeBron James (Cleveland), Tracy McGrady (Houston), Chris Bosh (Toronto), and Yao Ming (Houston).
The All-NBA First Team includes Phoenix Suns Steve Nash and Amaré Stoudemire, L.A. Laker Kobe Bryant, Dallas’ Dirk Nowitzki and San Antonio’s Tim Duncan.
This is the first time Arenas has made the Second team. Arenas was voted to the All-NBA Third Team in the 2004-05 and 2005-06 season.
The All-NBA Third Team includes the Miami’s Dwyane Wade and Detroit’s Chauncey Billups at guard. Minnesota’s Kevin Garnett, the NBA’s leading rebounder, Denver’s Carmelo Anthony and Orlando center Dwight Howard rounded out the third team.
