Tom Knott of the Washington Times asks Is Agent Zero wimping out?
He laughs at Arenas’ latest blog explanation of having to feed his kids
Earth to Arenas: With your $64 million contract, you already are in a position to give your children advantages that you never had. It turned out fairly well for you.
Comparing it to Sprewell’s famous quote when asked if he would resign with the Timberwolves:
”Why would I want to help them win a title? They’re not doing anything for me. I’m at risk. I have a lot of risk here. I got my family to feed.”
And concludes by having some harsh words for Gilbert:
If Arenas opts out of his contract and leaves the Wizards next summer, what he really will be saying is, “I am not good enough to lead a team deep into the playoffs.”

No, I don’t think Gilbert is a wimp. He states he is not business savy and I would have to disagree because it sounds like he is making the best type of business decision he could make with his contract. The days are gone where a player can play for one team because of the love of the game. It’s all about the money. “Show me the money” is the theme of the players, coaches, owners, advertisers, etc. and if you don’t understand the game…you get played! I am looking forward to next season. I hope more of the Wizards’ games will be on regular tv, since I can’t afford to see a live game or payper vision!!!!

if u read his blog on NBA.com about him saying to us fans, “not to worry..i’m not going anywhere!” he was saying that he is not leaving the Wizards he just wants to opt out of his contract then sign another six year deal and get 12.5% more money! so we will see wat happens i’m not too worried yet!
