As if the NBA referee scandal wasn’t enough, Gilbert Arenas is back to betting. This time it wasn’t with a 3 point shootout like the one he had with DeShawn Stevenson or even the measly $5 bet he had with a Portland Trailblazer fan. At the Lute Olson All-Star Classic, after scoring only five points in the first half, Arizona assistant basketball coach Josh Pastner said he would do push-ups if Arenas could get over 20 points (although he later claimed he said 30). Arenas went on to score in 20 second-half points, including 17 in the 4th quarter that included 3 straight threes and even launched one from the “O” in Arizona. After the game, Pastner was forced to do 20 push-ups at center court. The lesson to be learned: never bet against Gilbert.
