Game 2: No One Will Ever Accuse Gil of Being Joe Namath

Obviously, tonight wasn’t Gilbert’s best game. If it hadn’t been for his ability to get to the foul line, it would’ve been much worse. Arenas went a mere 5 of 20 from the field and missed all 5 of his three-pointers. So for those of you keeping score at home, that means the only three-pointer he’s hit this season was the one that forced overtime against Indiana.

With that said, the panic button isn’t being hit yet. Sometimes, the Hibachi just needs a little home cookin’.

haywood looks good though…big 3 needs to get it going, then we should be fine

I watched that ‘block’ over and over again. He was NAILED, and they didn’t call a foul. Plus I forgot how annoying Boston fans are.

Even last year, the Wiz had awful games. They can’t play Defense (other than some good steals from Caron/Gil, and a few decent blocks from B-Wood), so we can only expect them to outscore the other team. They’ll bounce back.

i agree, very frustrating first two games. definitely don’t wanna get too concerned this early, but the big 3 has been looking more like the 3 blind mice (stole that from ivan carter’s washington post wiz blog) thus far. caron just looks frustrated, 15 turnovers in 2 games? let’s just hope a lil’ home cookin is what we need, and we’ll get things straightened out. these losses early in the season can make a huge difference once april/may comes around, the those few early losses can make the difference between the 4th and 8th post.
