Gilbert Arenas once entered a C-Walking competition and finished in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Freddie Mitchell finished a distant 8th:
As Scott Van Pelt Style would tell you, this isn’t the first time that Freddie Mitchell has failed to be as good as Gilbert:
Had he been able to fine tune his game and tone down his swagger, it might have played out a little more smoothly for him. There’s no big difference in the sound of fury between Mitchell and Arenas, except that Agent Zero is a master at making his personality purposeful and genuine. When Arenas calls out teammates and coaches in the media, its usually on things that are absolutely apparent to the media and fans, and not for selfish reasons.
Arenas’ nicknames are embraced by his teammates and fans alike, because he can back it up. Beating Kobe at his own game of S-C-O-R-E is a good example. The most FredEx ever delivered (aside from 4th and 26) was annoyingly urging Andy Reid to throw the challenge flags on balls that clearly hit the ground before he caught them.
