You may remember Gilbert on his blog criticizing several players, including the Philadelphia 76er’s Andre Iguodala, for not agreeing on a $12 million dollar contract last summer.
Now after A.I. left, you were supposed to be that No. 1 guy, but, the way he plays the game, he doesn’t have that. He’s not that type of player. He’s a second guy. An assistant coach told me a great story about him. When he was in Arizona, he said he was like 9-for-11 from the field and he apologized to the team for shooting 11 shots. From that day on, I just called him Scottie Pippen. He’s a Scottie Pippen type of player. A great, overall player. He’s your glue player. You need a superstar and then you need him. So $12 million is good for you. Nothing more and nothing less. Be happy with the $12 million.
What was Iguodala’s response when told of the comments?
“I have better stuff to read,” he said. “I don’t read much of that because even if it’s good, you have to stay humble and be consistent. What matters is what my teammates and coaches say about me.”

Translation: Gilbert’s right.
The Sixers have won 4 straight against other bad teams and they see it as improvement. This is the worse team the Sixers have ever had that I can remember. It just shows you how great of a leader and player Allen Iverson really is, he actually took them to the playoffs…. and he gets traded!

Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Scottie Pippen one of the NBA’s top 50 players? He was right in there with Magic, Michael, and Larry. Andre Iguodala can’t even fit into Pippen’s jockstrap. It’s an insult to Pippen for Gilbert to even suggest it.

Gilbert was right to call out Andre. Gilbert can say whatever he wants about Andre because he basically owns him on the court. Gilbert is better than Andre in every part of the game. Gilbert’s a better shooter, way better defender and a far better scorer. Andre can’t carry Agent Zero’s jock strap let alone be half the man or baller that Gilbert is! Andre should be lucky that Gilbert is hurt, cause if he wasn’t he would be out their braking Dre’s ankles on the court like he did all last year. Andre is inferior to Agent Zero and he should bow down and take his verbal whippin’ like a man!

Get a clue before you go running your big mouth BlackJack and others. How about we take a look at durability 4th year no games missed every game started. How is ZERO doing this year? If i’m not mistaken he had surgery at the end of last and he couldn’t even hold up 6 months without having to have surgery again. You also say Gilbert is better than Andre in every part of the game. Well he is not a better defender than Andre he just simply isn’t. He is a better scorer which isn’t he supposed to be a POINT GUARD? Every part you say????? Here’s a stat for you: Andre is One of only four players among qualifiers in 2006-07 to average at least 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Tracy McGrady). Pretty good company there wouldn’t you say??? Your Boy ZERO can come back and talk after he does something like that or at the least gets through another NBA season which with the history behind multiple KNEE surgery’s it doesn’t look to good for ole’ ZERO. Zero can bow down and praise the ground IGGY walks on for the simple fact that he is a man and can play through injury’s and get through a complete NBA season.

Sixer, you better hope that the sixers don’t have to face the Wizards in the playoffs. Agent Zero will crush Andre again just like he did all last year. Everytime Andre has went head to head with Agent Zero, he has given him no challenge. Arenas has destroyed him time after time and will kick his behind up and down the floor the next time they meet. Gil will score 40 on this bum and wreck his career. The next time they meet, Gilbert is gonna embarrass Andre and take his heart from him. He is going to ruin Andre’s career and make him his personal whippin boy. I wouldn’t be worring about Gil’s knees. If I were you, I would be more concern Andre’s knees after Agent Zero gets through breaking his kneecaps with crossovers all night long! Gilbert would break Andre’s ankles all game and make him bow to his master! Face it Andre will always be inferior to Gilbert in ever part of the game.Agent Zero owns Andre “The Bum.”

You have to realise the fact that the Sixers are the only team in the whole NBA without a genuine superstar. They are still playoff bound and that is a good sign for Andre. Agent 0 is surrounded by some all stars like Jamison, Butler etc. If Andre had some serious help, Sixers could make some noise in the playoffs.

go sixer! you speak the truth. this blackjack doesn’t know smack about what he’s saying. arenas is SUPPOSED to be at the peak of his career, but oh look, he isn’t. cuz he’s on his butt sitting on the bench, nursing those shaky knees. andre’s only on his way up baby. and even though the sixers exit early this year, it’s only because it’s a REBUILDING team, who’s developing their FUTURE SUPERSTAR, Iggy. while your Hero’s, i mean Zero’s team on the otherhand, is built to win now, and to no surprise, isn’t accomplishing that. Zero’s a good player, if not a great one. but you’re running your mouth like he always does. P.S. i’m not a sixer’s fan. just standing up for what’s right.
