Gilbert’s still doing the promotional rounds overseas, so there’s no new news on Gilbert’s contract.  Golden State however, is offering Elton Brand a 5 year contract worth around $90 million according to ESPN, so it looks like Golden State is effectively conceding that Gilbert won’t take their offer and making other plans.  Now, barring an unforeseen offer at the last minute, it looks like the only separating Gilbert from returning to D.C. is his decision on how much money he’ll take.  Mister Irrelevant and Stet Sports both approve of Gilbert coming back .
