Gilbert Arenas may be able to do a between the leg trampoline dunk and Nick Young has been known to pull off a behind the back 360 dunk but this weekend, the NBA, Sprite, and LeBron James are looking for the best dunkers in Washington D.C. at the Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown and you can help decide! On Saturday, an outdoor basketball court will be setup during the during the Safeway National Capital Barbecue Battle on Pennsylvania NW between 9th and 10th street. Open call for dunkers begin at 2:30pm and the showdown begins at 4pm. If you aren’t a dunker, that’s okay. You can still check out the high flyers at this family-friendly event. NBA Legend Darryl Dawkins will be present and fans will be able to vote and interact online and through their phones.
