Gilbert Arenas Sentenced

According to Washington Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld, Gilbert Arenas will be in a Wizards uniform next season. Arenas did not receive any jail time and was instead sentenced to 30 days in a halfway house, two years of supervised probation, 400 hours of community service and fined $5,000 for brining guns to the locker room in a dispute with Javaris Crittenton in late December.

“Gilbert is one of the more popular athletes to play in D.C. in a really long time. And a lot of people had a lot of great affection for him.” – Erine Grunfeld

One team that could use Gilbert Arenas off the bench would be the Anaheim Royals.

Agent Six

Gilbert Arenas 6

Goodbye Agent Zero, Hello Agent Six? Gilbert Arenas has submitted the paperwork to have his jersey number changed to #6 next season. One problem. Mike Miller currently wears that number. Arenas wore #0 throughout his NBA career and while playing for Arizona because people told him that was the amount of minutes he would play in college. LeBron James has also filed for a change to No. 6 for next season.

Meanwhile, his nickname “Agent Zero” no longer applies. Some nickname suggestions from Yahoo! readers include:

  • Double 0-six
  • The Sixth Sense
  • The Gilbert Arenas Six Tape
  • Six Shooter
  • Seis
  • GA Joe
  • Hibachi Gil

Gilbert Arenas Handing Out Coats for PETA

Posted by gilbertology on March 6th, 2010

Gilbert Arenas PETA

Gilbert Arenas may not be on the basketball court for the rest of the season but at least he’s spending some of his free time doing good in the community. Earlier this week, Gilbert hosted PETA’s fur-coat giveaway in Washington, D.C., where donated coats were handed out to the homeless. Because of the vast number of furs PETA receives, they donate many of them to homeless people who can’t afford to buy their own coats—the only people who have any excuse to wear fur.
