Gilbert Arenas Sentenced

According to Washington Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld, Gilbert Arenas will be in a Wizards uniform next season. Arenas did not receive any jail time and was instead sentenced to 30 days in a halfway house, two years of supervised probation, 400 hours of community service and fined $5,000 for brining guns to the locker room in a dispute with Javaris Crittenton in late December.

“Gilbert is one of the more popular athletes to play in D.C. in a really long time. And a lot of people had a lot of great affection for him.” – Erine Grunfeld

One team that could use Gilbert Arenas off the bench would be the Anaheim Royals.

I hope that he does not return. Unfortunately his PRC sentence will not be enough to void his contract. As a season ticket holder, I feel that we put all of eggs in one basket with this guy who has not done anything worth noting since this contract was signed except adding a shark tank to his pool and getting arrested for gun possession.
