Ric Bucher thinks Gilbert will be Traded

With the addition of John Wall and Kirk Hinrich, is the writing on the wall for Gilbert Arenas? ESPN analyst Ric Bucher certainly thinks so as he tweeted that Arenas will likely be in another uniform come preseason.

Those wondering how Wall/Hinrich/Arenas fit, don’t. Arenas will be elsewhere by Oct. Hinrich was great supporting DRose, will be here, too.less than a minute ago via web

that’s ridiculous, the wizards only drafted wall because they had to, they are not going to risk three more years of not making the playoffs, at least with gilbert back they’ll have a chance to make it.

This organazation has done some dumb things in the past and this would be the worst ever. Especially when they are talking about just giving Gilbert away. You dont go deep into the playoffs with mediocre players. You do it with stars. I believe Hinrich is a good compliment to both John and Gil but does not take the place of either. I like John, but he is not a Gil yet and everyone seems excited about giving the best player we have away so we can pay to watch some garbage for the next 2 or 3 years and then hopefully the bleed stops and thats only if you get someone to want to come here then. These players in the league arent in any rush to come to the depleted teams, just to say there the star. They should be looking for one more player to complete this team instead of crying about money you decided to spend. For someone to come here with a whole bunch of average players to go up against Wade, Bosh, and Lebron. Then Pierce, KG, and Allen. Then Howard, Nelson, and Carter and not to speak of Chicago and even New York now. You would have to pay them the same if not more just to come here just to lose, but get paid. If the Wizards had Gil and Wall already in place before this free agency then this would have looked enticing to some of these free agents that signed this summer. What they need to do is let the two play together and let everyone see the magic they make and try to gear up and get one of those top tier guys next summer. Youre going to pay to get him but whomever will come knowing theres a chance to win here. Lakers and Boston are paying and now even the Heat. Championships dont come cheap anymore when teams are willing to stack the squads around you.
