Gilbert Arenas to the Cavs or Raptors?

Lebron James, Chris Bosh, Wade

To have more flexible cap room to sign their own free agents, the Miami Heat traded draft picks and $16 million dollar trade exceptions to the Toronto Raptors for Chris Bosh and Cleveland Cavaliers for LeBron James. Teams with a trade exception have up to a year in which they can acquire more salary in other trades than they send away. Gilbert Arenas is scheduled to make just under $18 million this season. If the Raptors or Cavaliers are willing to take on the big contract, both teams have the assets to pull off a deal that could land them Arenas for virtually nothing, enabling the Wizards to get out of the remaining years of Arenas’ deal and to rebuild with John Wall.

gilbert to the cavs would be the perfect next step in this summer’s free agency drama

But why would you want to do that when this team needs all of the scoring it can get. I personally, DO NOT want to go through another 14-68 season! I understand this wanting to rebuild but if they stink up the booth like last year, I will save my hard earned cash until they begin to take on the semblance of a playoff ready team.

Im still trying to understand why everyone wants to get rid of the best and most exciting players this has ever had. The bad part of it is, that its mostly men sounding like women use to sound or you could say, thinking with emotions and not logic. Like Gilbert is peek-A-Boo rapist and we need to run him out of town. I like John Wall, but he is not a Gilbert Arenas. If you all are crying about the money, thats the nature of the game. If you dont pay Gil youre going to pay someone and he is still one of the best players in the league. People saying he cant do it know more. Then how did he avg.23 pts and 7 ass. and wasnt even shooting as much as he did before he got hurt. Please fellows, stop sounding like women and open your eyes to see what we have here. Youre going to need John, Gil and someone else to even come close to competing with these teams like Boston, Orlando and now Miami stacking players on their squad and were over here talking about giving our star away.

great idea. getting gilbert would be a perfect fit for the cavs. also it would pump up the fans and would make lebron mad. also, jamison would be alot stronger with gilbert there.

I think Arenas is looking for a fresh start and what better place than Cleveland who is also looking for a fresh start. He can team up once again with Jamison. He would be a great catalyst for the Cavs and their fans. I think the Cavs would go deep in the postseason with Arenas in the mix. I only hope this could happen without losing too much for him. I would do a J.J Hickson for Arenas trade with some draft picks. I also don’t think the Cavs will be as bad as people think since cry baby, I can’t with a ring without my friends, punk ass Lequit James is gone.
