Gilbert Arenas cleared waivers after being released by the Orlando Magic on Friday through the league’s amnesty clause. What does this mean? Gilbert is free to sign with any team, other than the Orlando Magic.

So far, the rumors have Arenas waiting to see where Dwight Howard may be traded to and join him. The Miami Heat are also a possibility and Gilbert has ties to Los Angeles, where the Lakers are in need of a point guard upgrade. Where do you want to see Agent 0 play next?

Despite the NBA on strike, Gilbert Arenas has had a eventful summer. When he was not working on his game, Arenas started up a Twitter account again and was giving away game worn shoes everyday. When he was not giving away shoes, he was making jokes on his account, which got him in trouble with a judge when he was unsuccessful trying to block the mother of his four children from appearing on VH1′s Basketball Wives. Now the account has been deleted and the two are back together. All of this just points to one thing – hurry up and get the basketball season started again.

Coming off the bench is tough. Just ask Gilbert Arenas, whos play since joining the Orlando Magic has been sporadic. But when he was called upon to get more minutes in his last game because of a left knee sprain to starting point guard Jameer Nelson, Arenas had one of his worst games of the year, scoring just 2 points in 27 minutes, shooting 1 of 12 from the field. Nelson will likely be out the next game as well which means Arenas may get a chance to start.
